On Monday evening, July 11, the Boessenkoolprijs was awarded for the 53rd time in the PIUS X College in Almelo. This prize is an annual tradition that goes back to 1969 and with which Machinefabriek Boessenkool continues to underline its close involvement in technical training and future technical talent in the region.

Prize for Luuk Jannink
This year there were 5 nominated students who all started at Profile PIE two years ago. For Luuk, the surprise was great when he was called to the front. There he was told that his perseverance after his bicycle accident was admirable. Because despite everything, Luuk already took an extracurricular elective at VDL in class 3 and passed his VMBO diploma in class 4. He then received the well-known Boessenkoolprijs certificate from Eelco Osse and a practical and attractive prize: a well-stocked toolbox!

Create connection
“Machinefabriek Boessenkool awards the Boessenkool prize every year to create a connection,” says Eelco Osse. The prize is intended as an incentive for technical students to opt for challenging, innovative positions in technology. This is important for the students themselves, but certainly also for all companies in the metal & electrical sector that are constantly looking for talented employees. That also applies to Boessenkool, because without well-trained staff we have no right to exist.”
