Cobot welding is the collaboration

At Machinefabriek Boessenkool we also weld with cobots. A cobot is a robot that is designed to work together with our skilled welders. The welder operates the cobot for the requested welding work. At Machinefabriek Boessenkool we can use various welding techniques. Whatever your welding wishes, we are happy to look at the options with you. From TIG and OP welding to large welding work to MIG/MAG and electrode welding, our welding cobot doesn't turn a blind eye to it.

What is a cobot?

A cobot is a collaborative robot. This means that the robot functions in good cooperation with people. The difference with a traditional robot is that a cobot is not designed to operate independently. A cobot is all about interaction between, for example, a professional welder who can give instructions to the cobot via the right software. These robots support and relieve the expert in the work process. However, it requires the necessary expert knowledge, because if the correct instructions are not given to the cobot, it will not perform as expected.

Cobot welding

Welding is the joining of materials by pressure and/or heat. Welded connections are very strong and often simple and quick to realize. With cobot welding, our experienced and expert welders work with a welding cobot. This cobot is programmed in such a way that the welding process is done accurately and professionally.

Advantages of a welding cobot

A welding cobot is a robot that works together with the welder. Built-in sensors in the cobot often make the cobot light and easy to move. This makes it flexible for production of both small and large series. But there are even more advantages to a welding cobot:

  • Eextremely precise; Once the cobot starts welding, it repetitively makes exactly the same welds
  • Light, compact and easy to move
  • Can be programmed online
  • Multifunctional
  • High productivity

Cobot possibilities

At Machinefabriek Boessenkool we can do more with the cobot besides welding. The cobot can be used for sanding, polishing, screwing, gluing and many other activities. Due to all the high-quality applications of the cobot, our skilled people enable us to deliver top performance.

COBOT WELDING OF FERROUS AND NON-FERROUS

Due to the increasingly higher demands, it is necessary to leave nothing to chance and opt for top-quality cobot welding. The cobot welding of ferrous and non-ferrous materials is carried out at Machinefabriek Boessenkool in an air-conditioned production hall. Only the very best machines and expert welders are used for the best results.

COBOT WELDING OF TOP QUALITY

COBOT welding is carried out by Machinefabriek Boessenkool in an air-conditioned production hall. High-quality welding is carried out on, for example, 'vacuum vessels' or vacuum tubes for CERN's LHC particle accelerator. The required accuracies and expansion accommodation for these types of workpieces are spectacular. It is therefore not without reason that we only work with expert welders and the very best machines. Our employees are skilled in various forms of welding. From TIG and OP welding, Electrode to COBOT or MIG/MAG welding.

USING MANY TECHNIQUES

Whatever your welding needs, Machinefabriek Boessenkool is happy to assist you. Would you like to know the possibilities in the field of COBOT, MIG/MAG, TIG or OP welding? Then read on.

MIG/MAG WELDING

MIG/MAG welding is suitable for most materials and cored wires. This method of welding uses a constant voltage and a mechanical wire is continuously supplied. MIG/MAG welding is widely used and lends itself well to automation. This minimizes the risk of errors and still allows complex workpieces to be welded.

At Machinefabriek Boessenkool, MIG/MAG welding is carried out accurately both manually and with the help of welding robots. The process can always be performed quickly and in many positions. By using automation, we limit the risk of errors to a minimum and complex workpieces can also be welded. This way you are also assured of consistent quality. MIG/MAG welding is efficient, flexible and offers many possibilities. Machine Factory Boessenkool is happy to help you.

TIG WELDING

With TIG welding, no welding fumes are released and there is no spatter. This distinguishes this method of welding from other processes. This welding technique uses a constant current. This ensures a nice, sleek and sturdy result of high quality.

ON-WELDING

OP welding involves welding under a layer of welding powder. This welding technique is mainly used for workpieces for heavy industry. OP welding is a very productive way of welding, with high-quality welding results. OP welding also lends itself well to automation and is a relatively cheap method of welding.
